Tik Tock Ban Shakes Up Congress

Lawmakers gathered in the nation’s capital to vote on a measure to ban social media app Tik Tock in the United States. In an overwhelming 352-65 vote, lawmakers voted in favor of advancing the measure from the House of Representatives to the Senate for another vote. If passed and signed by President Biden, ByteDance – the parent company of Tik Tock, will be forced to divest its ownership and sell the United States business of the app or completely shut it down.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is among lawmakers opposing the ban. WATCH her speech and follow us on social media @nycwired
