DisruptCRE NYC to Showcase ‘Disruptors’ in Commercial Real Estate Tech

The commercial real estate industry is known for its traditional practices, but there are countless companies focused on the future and innovation in the market.

Hundreds of CRE Tech innovators will be touching on these topics at the third annual DisruptCRE conference on Thursday, March 30 at 180 Maiden Lane, 29th floor, from noon to 6 p.m. in New York City. The event will feature three panel discussions focused on commercial real estate technology and showcasing more than 20 “disruptors.”

“This is not your typical conference; this is about a vision,” DisruptCRE Co-founder and CEO Mariel Ebrahimi told New York City Wired. “DisruptCRE panelists will delve into current technological trends, map out future innovations, and predict how they will reshape the real estate landscape for decades to come.”

The afternoon conference will open with lunch followed by a keynote address from Adam J. Stanley, CIO of Global Technology Solutions at Cushman and Wakefield. Among the disruptors giving their 45-second pitch is Velstar. The telecommunications company gives quotes for high speed internet access, voice, integrated access, networks and network services as well as fiber maps showing customers what carriers are in proximity to their current or potential office building.

“We provide tenants, prospective and existing, with all the information for them to decide if that this is the right building for them, and more importantly, are they getting the right services for their budget and for the applications in which to run their business effectively,” Tony Ruggieri, managing partner of global sales at Velstar told New York City Wired.

The panel sessions include: State of CRE Tech: The Executives POV, discussed by John J. Gilbert III, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer of Rudin Management Company; Robert Entin, EVP & Chief Innovation Officer of Vornado Realty Trust and Danny Fishman, Managing Partner of GAIA Real Estate. Building Tech, discussed by Laura M. Jamer, Director of Global Partnerships, DIRTT; Rui Barros, General Manager for Tri-State, WeWork; Darlene Pope, Senior Vice President, Director of Smart Building Program, JLL and Adam Stoltz, SVP, Corporate Workplace Strategy of Transwestern.
