Blue River Partners Adds New NYC Director, Expands Business Development Team

Blue River Partners LLC recently announced the expansion of its internal business development team with the addition of Shawn Hessing as a Managing Director based in Dallas and Bryan McCooey as a Director in New York City.

“We are very excited about the industry experience and personal networks that these two individuals bring to the Blue River team,” said Mark Fordyce, CEO of Blue River.  “We are confident that Shawn and Bryan will be extremely helpful in expanding Blue River’s brand, and connecting the firm with managers that can benefit from Blue River’s fully integrated back-office service offering.”

Prior to joining Blue River Partners, Hessing served as the Chief Financial Officer of Oak Hill Capital Partners for more than five years before retiring in December 2015.  At Oak Hill, Hessing was responsible for implementing and transitioning new funds and management company accounting systems.  In addition, Mr. Hessing led development of Oak Hill’s projection models, as well as transitioning the back office to more efficient reporting models.

McCooey served as the Head of Business Development at Centaur Fund Services Limited.  While at Centaur he was responsible for opening the first office in the U.S. and driving new business within the U.S. marketplace, contributing to growing the firm’s assets under administration by $10 billion.

Prior to Centaur, McCooey held Sales Director roles at Admiral Administration and Kaufman Rossin Fund Services, both based in New York City.  McCooey began his career in Institutional Sales at Olympia Capital Markets Group where he supported the build out of the institutional sales desk.  At Olympia, McCooey was responsible for reporting on overnight global market activity to clients and traders, and assisting sales traders with the opening of accounts and clearing the orders through the routing system.
