RCN Business Named Top Internet Service Provider by PCMag

Fiber optic and telecommunications provider RCN Business was named the top internet service provider for business by technology publication PCMag. The honor was given to RCN based on a reader poll conducted by the magazine. RCN along with its competitors was judged on price, service quality and reliability using a 0 to 10 scale. RCN had the highest score at an 8.1 from customers questioned in the survey. The company also scored a 8.4 for reliability and a score of 8.6 for likelihood to recommend among customers.

RCN has been beefing up its customer service and offerings in the New York City area. The company recently teamed up with Versa Networks  to launch RCN Managed Security. The new service will provide cloud-based managed cybersecurity service enabling businesses to manage information security and monitor network activity. The service is available to RCN Business fiber-optic customers.

RCN Business Managed Security promises to deliver services from cloud, eliminating management and capital costs associated with traditional cybersecurity solutions.  Based on software-defined security from Versa Networks, RCN Business Managed Security offers protection capabilities of enterprise security solutions including next-generation firewalls and unified threat management.

RCN Business service area includes Boston, Chicago, Lehigh Valley (PA), New York City, Philadelphia (Delaware County) and Washington, D.C.
