Zayo Teams Up With Mitel To Expand Cloud Services in Canada

Zayo Group is teaming up with mobile and cloud services provider Mitel, to create new cloud products for the Canadian market. As a part of the deal, Ottawa, Canada-based Mitel, will deliver its MiCloud solution product over Zayo’s Canadian communications infrastructure.

“Zayo is the first and only provider in Canada to bring the Mitel suite of applications to businesses through a cost-effective cloud-based delivery model,” Dan Vucinic, Vice President, Voice, Zayo said in a statement. “MiCloud’s solution complements Zayo’s communication infrastructure services, providing customers with a flexible, secure, cost-effective platform for integration and collaboration.”

The deal between Zayo and Mitel could help both companies gain more customers in the Canadian market. Zayo, who also offers an array of services in the New York City market, offers managed firewall security services,  monitoring and database management with storage and backup solutions. The company’s fiber footprint extends more than 81,500 route miles across the United States and Europe.
