Uber Offers Clorox Wipes to Riders

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, rideshare giant Uber is making changes. The company, who makes most of its revenue through rides purchased through the app, sent a letter to its subscribers announcing the addition of Clorox disinfecting wipes in cars supplied by its drivers. Clorox, known for its disinfecting ability to kill viruses and the coronavirus, will be available for riders to ensure their seats are clean in addition to any efforts to clean cars by the drivers.

In addition to the Clorox wipes, Uber is extending requirements making masks mandatory for drivers and passengers. The company has been making changes since the pandemic and protests over racial equality began. Uber recently expanded its food delivery app Uber Eats to include liquor delivery and resources to support black owned business
