Hudson Fiber Networks Expands NYC’s CRE, Data Center Network Infrastructure

Hudson Fiber Network, a leading IP and network provider, announced today the completion of its installation of bulk cable throughout Manhattan. The project significantly impacts New York’s telecommunications infrastructure by bringing fiber optic services to leading commercial buildings and data centers throughout New York City.

The recently installed bulk cable adds lit and dark fiber options to major data centers including 111 Eighth Avenue, 60 Hudson Street, and 325 Hudson Street. Future data centers within the city’s infrastructure will include 375 Pearl Street, 32 Avenue of the America’s and 85 Tenth Avenue.

“This is a game changer for Manhattan’s commercial buildings requiring better access and competitive pricing for fiber optic services,” said Brett Diamond, HFN’s CEO.

Accounting for approximately 3 percent of the world’s web traffic, New York City’s telecommunication system serves 8.3 million residents, including the City’s 3.9 million workers, 250,000 businesses, and 50 million annual visitors.

Earlier this year, HFN was named one of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing private companies, capturing the #3 in carrier, #13 in telecom and top 1000 in overall ranking.
