RCN Business To Provide Network Solutions For Pennsylvania Airports

Telecommunications and fiber optics provider RCN Business will provide network solutions for several Pennsylvania airports. As a part of the deal RCN will provide voice and data services for the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority including the Queen City Airport in Allentown and Braden Airpark in Easton, PA. The Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown is also included in the deal.

We also ensure scalability so that more bandwidth is available as the airports expand. The airports now have 24/7 visibility into all operations, which enables it to run at the highest possible efficiency.”

RCN Business continues to expand its business in New York City and along the east coast. During the summer of 2016, the company teamed up with Versa Networks  to launch RCN Managed Security. The service provides cloud-based managed cybersecurity service enabling businesses to manage information security and monitor network activity. The service was made available to RCN Business fiber-optic customers. The company also teamed up with Pennsylvania-based electricity supplier Talen Energy in 2016 create special programs for customers. Talen offered RCN Business customers special discount deals in areas of Pennsylvania served by one of the following utilities: PPL Electric Utilities, MetEd, Penelec, or PECO.

The Lehigh Valley International Airport system is a major hub for travelers in the state of Pennsylvania, In 2015 the airport saw  673,505 passengers, up 10 percent from traffic reported in 2014.
