Contact Tracing Initiatives Kick Off With Bloomberg, Salesforce, New York Partnerships

The Covid-19 Pandemic is bringing unity among public and private sectors. In an effort to stop the spread of the potentially deadly coronavirus, Bloomberg Philanthropies and technology services giant Salesforce are working with New York state and city government to create contact tracing technology and recruit the proper staff. The partial state reopening May 15 and the potential end of New York Pause May 28, creates the need to track, trace and isolate coronavirus infections to avoid future outbreaks.

As a part of the deal with Bloomberg, New York State will work with the philanthropic organization to create and use existing technologies and hire staffing. New York City will work closely with Salesforce to recruit and train staff, as well as work with Bloomberg Philanthropies.
