Where to Watch: Times Square New Year’s Eve Covid-19 Restricted Celebration

The Times Square Alliance is preparing to drop the ball and keep New Yorkers safe with a televised ball drop and celebration. Times Square, known for attracting thousands of tourists and residents to the tri-state area, will be closed to the public and displayed on television for millions of Americans across the country to enjoy.

The celebration in Times Square includes celebrity filled music events including a prime time event by NBC and ABC TV Networks. The shows are also closed to the public. The Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration will include a celebration of “Heroes of 2020”. The honorees include essential workers including school teachers, doormen, first responders and emergency room personnel.

The Times Square New Year’s Eve commercial-free webcast will cover the action and festivities in Times Square, beginning with the Ball Raising at 6 p.m. EST, plus live musical performances, hourly countdowns, behind-the-scenes stories, and star-studded interviews as anticipation builds
