Zayo Group Names Chris Morley COO
Fiber and telecommunications service provider Zayo Group Holdings LLC, announced organizational changes set to take place over the summer. As a part of its staffing shakeup co-Chief Operating Officer Chris Morley will take the top spot solo after co-COO and Co-founder Matt Erickson leaves the company in July. Erickson is leaving Zayo for personal reasons, an explanation given by the company in a statement.
“Morley and Erickson made a great team as co-COOs, with each of them, at various times over the past few years, being responsible for the range of the day-to-day functions of Zayo,” Dan Caruso, Chairman and CEO of Zayo Group said in a statement. “Matt’s departure affords us the opportunity to combine all these functions under Chris, who is well prepared for the COO scope.”
Zayo offers managed firewall security services, monitoring and database management with storage and backup solutions. The company’s fiber footprint extends more than 81,500 route miles across the United States and Europe.
