Women in Tech NYC Participate in Comedy Hackathon September 12

Women in Tech NYC along with numerous technology groups will participate in a special comedy hackathon on Monday, September 12 at 7 pm. The event will focus on live demos from companies developing innovative technology in New York, followed by a networking party. The hackathon will take place at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts. NY Tech Meetup and Comedy Hack Day are the official organizers of the event.

The goal of the event is to make hacking competitions more fun by incorporating comedic elements. About 100 people will participate in the competition. More information about the event can be found on the Women in Tech website.

The technology industry has been pushing to get more women involved. New York City is now home to organizations aimed at women in technology including Women in Tech, Girls Who Code and more.
