Hudson Group Expands LaGuardia Airport Retail with MAC, FAO Schwarz, Others

LaGuardia Airport is in the middle of a massive $4 billion renovation project. The airport infrastructure updates include increased gates for airline departures and arrivals. New Jersey-based travel retail company Hudson Group, announced its joining in on airport upgrades by adding new retail shops to terminal B in partnership with major brands. The new Hudson Group retail package, awarded by terminal operators LaGuardia Gateway Partners, includes FAO Schwarz toys and games, M.A.C Cosmetics, McNally Jackson booksellers and duty free offerings.

“Hudson’s iconic brand coupled with its new and exciting concepts makes the company an ideal partner for this new contract,” Ed Baklor, chief commercial officer of LaGuardia Gateway Partners said. “Hudson Group has been delivering unique concepts that cater to the immediate needs and wants of travelers at LGA for over 30 years and we are excited to extend and expand the company’s contract at Terminal B.”

The new state of the art 1.3 million square foot terminal will feature 35 gates, over 25 retail and food offerings, and dual pedestrian bridges that span active taxi lanes connecting the main part of the terminal to two island concourses.
