165 Halsey Street Data Center Expands Facility, Colocation Space

New Jersey-based 165 Halsey Street announced that it is beefing up its facility in Newark including a new Colocation Room V on the eleventh floor of the data center. The Colocation Room V offers an additional 31,000 square feet of space. 165 Halsey has a total of dedicated 1.2 million square foot data center, colocation and telecom carrier hotel space.

“It’s been exciting to watch our colocation business grow since we introduced our first ‘Meet Me Room’ in 2000,”  Joseph Simone, President at Tishman Real Estate Services for 165 Halsey Street said in a statement. “Recently we’ve seen an uptick in demand for our colocation services and after considering a variety of options to meet that demand, decided to expand to the eleventh floor of our facility to create Colocation Room V. Colocation Room V is operational and our team is ready to take on new customers at any time.”

In addition to its expansion, the data center is offering DC power to customers. The additional service will benefit telecom companies. 165 Halsey offers its data enter services to companies in the New York, New Jersey area. It is carrier-neutral, SSAE 16-certified property. The large facility is located about 13 miles from Lower Manhattan. The data center offers a video tour on its website.
