NASA Teams Up With AT&T For Deep Space Network Communications

AT&T will help NASA improve its Deep Space Network communications. NASA’s Deep Space Network is the largest and most sensitive scientific telecommunications system in the world.

AT&T will provide a high speed VPN to connect Deep Space Network’s giant radio antennas around the world. The highly secure and reliable AT&T VPN lets NASA protect and transmit data three times faster than before.

And it’s flexible. NASA can expand bandwidth as needed without costly hardware upgrades.

“Our technology helps NASA explore the furthest reaches of the known universe,” Mike Leff, Vice President – Civilian, AT&T Global Public Sector Solutions said in a statement. “This is the latest technology enhancement we have brought to NASA in our more than 20 year relationship.”

NASA’s Deep Space Network supports communications for interplanetary spacecraft missions. It also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. About NASA’s Deep Space Network.
