AT&T is fulfilling its promise of employing more veterans. The company announced it is teaming up with Udacity and nonprofit organizations to help United States military veterans get hired in the technology sector.

as a part of the deal, AT&T will help provide 100 Udacity Nanodegree scholarships to support skills development through VetsinTech and the Military Child Education Coalition.

“For nearly 100 years, AT&T has remained dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans and their families,” said Charlene Lake, SVP, Corporate Social Responsibility at AT&T. “VetsinTech and the Military Child Education Coalition share our mission to help ensure veterans and their families are workforce and career-ready. We hope these Udacity Nanodegree scholarships will help prepare even more veterans and their families with the skills and expertise they need to excel in today’s tech workforce.”

The scholarships are an extension of AT&T’s commitment to hire 20,000 veterans and their family members by the end of 2020. Through 2018, the company hired 17,500 toward that goal.
