New York City, State and Businesses Prepare for Hurricane Henri [Video]
Local politicians and business owners braced for the impact of Hurricane Henri. The hurricane, which was downgraded to a tropical storm by meteorologists, passed through the tri-state area over the weekend dumping high volumes of rain and causing flooding.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and outgoing Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency for the city and state. Some businesses within New York City’s five boroughs used sandbags and boards to cover windows and block excessive water from entering buildings. Tropical storm Henri’s path will move up the East Coast through the New England region.
