February was the single best month in history for New York City tech startup funding, with $2.4B+ raised by companies that call the city home.
Based on the publicly available data, below are the statistics for all funding deals by stage of funding (Early-stage [Pre-Seed, Seed], Series A, Series B, and Late Stage [Series C+]), including mention of notable rounds. This analysis does not include rounds for biotech, real estate, lending startups, and debt financings.
NYC Early Stage Funding

- The median Seed round was $3.0M
- $58.4M was invested across early stages rounds
- 10.6% of early-stage funding nationally went to startups in NYC
