BrainBox AI to install Climate Technology in NYC

BrainBox AI recently announced the company would begin installing its climate technology in New York City buildings. Installation of the technology will start with Cammeby’s International’s 45 Broadway property located in Manhattan’s financial district. 

BrainBox AI’s technology utilizes the machine learning capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize HVAC systems in buildings. The machine learning and cloud based computing of AI help produce energy savings of up to 25%, reducing the building’s energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. 

Buildings, such as those in New York City, account for a quarter of the global energy consumption. BrainBox AI CEO Sam Ramadori said in a recent statement the company’s climate technology helps address this major area of energy consumption. 

“Our scalable technology enables buildings to become more sustainable and autonomous while reducing energy costs, decreasing emissions, improving day-to-day comfort, cutting down on maintenance, and extending equipment life,” said Ramadori. 

BrainBox AI’s technology will also help New York City building owners and operators move closer to the requirements of Local Law 97. Passed as part of the Climate Mobilization Act, Local Law 97 will require all buildings in the city that are over 25,000 square feet to meet new energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions limits by 2024. 

Chief Commercial Officer for BrainBox AI, Frank Sullivan, said in a recent statement that  installation of the company’s climate technology will help New York City buildings meet requirements such as those outlined in Local Law 97. 

“As New York City adopts new regulations on carbon emissions from buildings, BrainBox AI offers real estate owners and operators a solution that allows for both individual building and portfolio-wide impact,” said Sullivan.
