AT&T Invests More Than $1.4 Billion in New Jersey Local Networks

Telecom giant AT&T announced that it invested more than $1.4 billion in its New Jersey wireless and wired networks during 2015-2017. The investments were made to boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses. Critical services that support public safety were also upgraded.

New Jersey is a global hub for technology and innovation. To maintain our competitiveness regionally, nationally and globally, we need sound public policies and sustained private sector investment,” J. Michael Schweder, president, AT&T Mid-Atlantic said. “We’re continually building and enhancing our infrastructure in the state to help support economic growth and development and connect New Jerseyans to the tools to stay connected and entertained.”

The AT&T LTE network now covers more than 400 million people in North America. The company is focused on expanding its 4G LTE network to support its development of 5G technology. Get more details about the company at ATT.com
