United Fiber & Data Joins Equinix’s New York Data Centers

United Fiber & Data (UFD), a communication infrastructure enterprise operating as a multi-regional fiber optic network provider, announces today that it has worked with Equinix to complete its build-out at Equinix’s NY9 data center. The data center, located at 111 8th Avenue, one of the largest tech buildings in New York City, featuring a carrier hotel and a meet me room that is also among the biggest in the city. UFD will build dual points of entry into the building to meet customer demand and provide access to a wide range of industries. The new build-out grants NY9 customers complete access to UFD’s network. UFD also has an established a presence at Equinix’s NY4 data center located at 755 Secaucus Road in Secaucus, N.J. This data center serves the world’s largest financial, media and enterprise companies with premium interconnection services.

The build-out also allows for a high-count point of entry at Equinix’s NY9 data center. UFD offers dark fiber solutions designed to meet customer needs with access into the state-of-the-art facility, while the dual point of entry allows for network diversity, speed and flexibility. This diversity allows for a secure network with reduced risk.
